CORPUS UPDATE: The Home Stretch!
over 5 years ago – Wed, Aug 08, 2018 at 10:00:01 PM

Hello Backers!

A lot has happened since our last update! But before I give you the news, I just want to remind everyone to please fill out their BackerKit survey. It's the only way for me to get the right addresses for you all to get your rewards! If you have any questions, Feel free to email me at [email protected]. CORPUS wound up being a whopping 280 PAGES of full color content, and I want to make sure to get it to you!

Now, we have a bit of bad news. Even though we sent CORPUS to the printer some weeks ago, some major changes at the factory upped the printing timeline from 6-8 weeks to 12-14 weeks. This means we will not be receiving the physical books at the end of this month as originally planned, but in late October/early November. I'm so very sorry for the delay, but I promise you, it'll be worth the wait!

The good news, however, is that this delay has no bearing on the digital copy, which you WILL be receiving by the end of this month. I can't wait for you all to see the exceptional hard work that we've put in this project over the past few months.

To wet your appetite and give you a taste, I'd like to share a story from CORPUS. This is PB and J(im), a story about growing up with asthma and allergies by Jim Gibbons and Melody Often. Enjoy!

CORPUS UPDATE #1: Pins/Art Print Proofs are Here!
almost 6 years ago – Tue, Apr 17, 2018 at 10:20:24 PM

Hello Everyone!

It's been a while since you've heard from me here at CORPUS HQ! From the moment the campaign ended, all the creators have been hard at work putting together their stories. We've finally finished the first round of script editing, which means a majority of our stories are now being handed over to the artists for them to work their magic. So far, everything is looking on track for our planned late August release date!

In the meantime, I wanted to share that the proofs for our Jen Vaughn art print, the postcard prints, and our enamel pins have arrived! I'm especially happy with the pins, which feature beautiful raised die-cut detailing on all the floral elements. I hope you can see it in the picture, but I can promise that in real life with minute detail is gorgeous. I've also made sure the pin was designed with two pin-backs, which will make it very secure and incredibly difficult to come undone.

We're still in the middle of creating the content of the book, and I will keep you updated as to when the files have been sent for the book to go to print. From there, I'll be sending all your backer surveys! Keep an eye out here for any other updates, and please be sure to message me with any questions. Finally seeing the huge selection of stories our talented creators have decided to share has only made me more excited to share it all with you, who has made this project possible!

Best,
Nadia

WE MADE IT/STRETCH GOALS!
about 6 years ago – Tue, Mar 06, 2018 at 06:04:18 PM

Well, everyone, we've done it. CORPUS has made funding!!

I want to thank each and every one of you for your part in making this come together. I've seen so many of you work hard to spread the word online and with your friends. Your effort and generosity has filled my heart and changed my life. Thanks to you, we can bring about change in the conversation around illness. Thanks to you, this book with so many fantastic creators can showcase their talent. Thanks to you, CORPUS will be in your hands shortly.

While celebrating our victories is important, WE AREN'T DONE YET! It's time for STRETCH GOALS! At $27,000, we will be able to unlock a HARDCOVER edition! The hardcover will feature artwork by Mark Wang (just as the softcover edition does) and will have gorgeous embossing against a matte cover.

At $30,000 we will be able to add FOUR MORE STORIES! We've got Ken Lowery, Brogan Luke Bouwhuis, Libby Van Bunte, Silvia Carrus waiting to add even more diverse and amazing stories to CORPUS.

Let's keep up the momentum and make CORPUS the best version of itself it can be! Also, I'll be at Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle, so if you see me with some CORPUS flyers come say hi!

Thank you all!
Nadia

STRETCH GOAL #1 UNLOCKED/LAST 30 HOURS!
about 6 years ago – Tue, Mar 06, 2018 at 07:05:20 AM

Hello Everyone!

Thanks to your help, we've unlocked the hardcover edition! With beautiful artwork from Mark Wang and gorgeous embossing against a matte finish, this hardcover will be a wonderful art book you won't want to miss out on. If you have pledged for a physical softcover edition, you can either increase your pledge amount by $10 or back the hardcover reward tier to upgrade your softcover to the hardcover edition. You will not be upgraded automatically.

Thank you all so much! With only 30 hours to go, we have $3,000 to raise to hit our last stretch goal, which is to add FOUR MORE STORIES to CORPUS! Let's finish strong for this amazing book with such a talented roster.
